We recommend that you start your experience in this restaurant with a raw plate. Oysters, mussels, shrimps, scampi, and clams from local fishing boats are served on an ice plateau to preserve their taste and freshness. The beginning of the journey into the Ogliastra culinary tradition then continues with the burrida, according to the grandmother’s recipe (with race, walnuts, and vinegar), with fish ravioli and ravioli with cuttlefish ink, prepared with fresh pasta.

The fregula, with local clams and bottarga, is the “sovereign” of the first fish dishes from Basaùra. Those who have never tasted it, have the opportunity here to taste a version that combines high-quality raw materials and a preparation anchored to tradition.

And while the Basaùra staff pours you another glass of Vermentino you can order a crispy and tasty fried fish based on shrimp, squid, and small local fishing: the sea is before your eyes and on your palate.

Una grande soddisfazione per lo sport ogliastrino arriva da Villagrande: Cristian Conigiu, giovane talento del Yaoki Dojo, ha conquistato un prestigioso bronzo alla Coppa Italia di lotta olimpica, svoltasi a Livorno.

A soli 15 anni, Cristian ha affrontato avversari più grandi e più esperti, dimostrando una straordinaria tenacia e una fame di vittoria che lo hanno portato a imporsi sui suoi avversari in tempi rapidi. Questo risultato non è solo un traguardo agonistico: in piccole realtà come Villagrande lo sport gioca un ruolo fondamentale nella crescita dei ragazzi, insegnando disciplina, resilienza e spirito di squadra.

“Perseguire un obiettivo non significa solo nello sport, ma anche a scuola o in ambito lavorativo – spiega Davide Scudu, insegnante tecnico del Yaoki Dojo – se non nasce l’obiettivo dentro i ragazzi non si possono avere risultati. Noi come società cerchiamo di farli appassionare: se un ragazzo si appassiona, è disposto a fare enormi sacrifici.”

Il Yaoki Dojo, sotto la guida appassionata di Scudu, 47 anni, è molto più di una palestra: è un luogo di crescita personale e sportiva, dove decine di giovani trovano motivazione e supporto quotidiano. Cristian, insieme ai suoi compagni, pratica due discipline olimpiche, judo e lotta, vivendo esperienze che vanno ben oltre l’allenamento.

Questo bronzo rappresenta un’ulteriore conferma della qualità del lavoro del Yaoki Dojo e lascia intravedere un futuro brillante per i giovani atleti ogliastrini, che dimostrano come lo sport, anche nelle piccole comunità, sia uno strumento prezioso di formazione e crescita.
