Oysters, mussels, shrimps, scampi, and clams from local fishing boats are served on an ice plateau to preserve their taste and freshness. The beginning of the journey into the Ogliastra culinary tradition then continues with the burrida, according to the grandmother’s recipe (with race, walnuts, and vinegar), with fish ravioli and ravioli with cuttlefish ink, prepared with fresh pasta.

The fregula, with local clams and bottarga, is the “sovereign” of the first fish dishes from Basaùra. Those who have never tasted it, have the opportunity here to taste a version that combines high-quality raw materials and a preparation anchored to tradition.

Migliaia di persone hanno invaso oggi le strade di Seui per Su Prugadoriu, la storica manifestazione che ogni anno richiama visitatori da tutta la Sardegna e non solo.

Il borgo ogliastrino si è trasformato in un grande teatro all’aperto dove tradizione, ritualità e convivialità si fondono in un’unica esperienza. Fin dalle prime ore del mattino le vie del centro storico sono state animate dai bambini che, come da tradizione, hanno girato di casa in casa chiedendo offerte “po is animas”, in ricordo delle anime del Purgatorio.

La festa, giunta alla sua ventinovesima edizione, è stata ancora una volta l’occasione per ribadire che “non è Halloween, ma Su Prugadoriu”, una celebrazione profondamente radicata nella cultura sarda e nel culto dei defunti. Tra i vicoli acciottolati si sono alternati suoni, profumi e colori: nei caratteristici mangasinus produttori e artigiani hanno offerto formaggi, salumi, castagne, vini e piatti tipici come culurgionis e civargeddus, mentre artisti e musicisti hanno animato le piazze con canti e spettacoli.

I visitatori hanno potuto scoprire anche i luoghi simbolo del paese, dalla Palazzina Liberty al Carcere Spagnolo, fino alla Casa Farci e al sistema museale diffuso. L’edizione 2025, dedicata al tema della magia, ha confermato l’identità profonda di Seui, che attraverso Su Prugadoriu rinnova ogni anno il legame tra vivi e defunti, memoria e presente.
