We recommend that you start your experience in this restaurant with a raw plate. Oysters, mussels, shrimps, scampi, and clams from local fishing boats are served on an ice plateau to preserve their taste and freshness. The beginning of the journey into the Ogliastra culinary tradition then continues with the burrida, according to the grandmother’s recipe (with race, walnuts, and vinegar), with fish ravioli and ravioli with cuttlefish ink, prepared with fresh pasta.

The fregula, with local clams and bottarga, is the “sovereign” of the first fish dishes from Basaùra. Those who have never tasted it, have the opportunity here to taste a version that combines high-quality raw materials and a preparation anchored to tradition.

Torna a Villagrande Strisaili, il 20 e 21 dicembre 2025, la sesta edizione di “Is Prendas de ’Iddamanna”, l’evento che celebra storia, cultura e sapori del territorio, organizzato dall’Associazione Turistica Pro Loco con il patrocinio del Comune.

Nel “paese dei centenari”, i visitatori potranno immergersi nelle tradizioni locali attraverso degustazioni di piatti tipici e dolci della tradizione, esposizioni di artigianato locale e prodotti del territorio, e percorsi guidati che raccontano la memoria e l’ospitalità della comunità.

Tra le novità di quest’anno, un itinerario archeo-naturalistico proposto da Archeonova: il trekking a Monte Ulloro condurrà alla scoperta della sua storia, dei siti archeologici e delle leggende che da secoli animano il luogo, come l’eco di una voce femminile che, secondo la tradizione, risuona ancora dal ventre della montagna: “Telargiu oro miu e non tuu”.
