We recommend that you start your experience in this restaurant with a raw plate. Oysters, mussels, shrimps, scampi, and clams from local fishing boats are served on an ice plateau to preserve their taste and freshness. The beginning of the journey into the Ogliastra culinary tradition then continues with the burrida, according to the grandmother’s recipe (with race, walnuts, and vinegar), with fish ravioli and ravioli with cuttlefish ink, prepared with fresh pasta.

The fregula, with local clams and bottarga, is the “sovereign” of the first fish dishes from Basaùra. Those who have never tasted it, have the opportunity here to taste a version that combines high-quality raw materials and a preparation anchored to tradition.

And while the Basaùra staff pours you another glass of Vermentino you can order a crispy and tasty fried fish based on shrimp, squid, and small local fishing: the sea is before your eyes and on your palate.

Marco, the owner of the restaurant, a profound connoisseur of the area, and always ready to give advice on places to visit, accompanies customers in choosing the catch of the day, in the right wine to match. And after just one lunch, a last look at the sea and a thought about what you tasted: it is easy to go from “Welcome to Ogliastra” to a sure “We will meet again very soon”.

Un gesto di straordinaria generosità, unito a un’eccellenza sanitaria sempre più consolidata, ha permesso di salvare tre vite all’ospedale Nostra Signora della Mercede di Lanusei. Il fegato e i due reni prelevati lo scorso 10 marzo da una donna ogliastrina di 83 anni sono stati trapiantati con successo.

Gli organi hanno ridato speranza a tre pazienti: il fegato e uno dei reni sono stati destinati a due uomini sardi, rispettivamente di 72 e 69 anni, mentre il secondo rene è stato trapiantato a una donna di 64 anni presso un centro specializzato di Milano.

La protagonista di questa vicenda è la donatrice, che in vita aveva espresso il consenso alla donazione degli organi, lasciando un esempio concreto di altruismo e senso civico. Dopo il suo decesso, avvenuto in seguito a un grave peggioramento clinico culminato nella morte encefalica, si è attivata una complessa macchina organizzativa e sanitaria.

Determinante il lavoro dell’équipe multidisciplinare dell’ospedale di Lanusei, coordinata dal chirurgo Giovanni Pietro Paolo Gusai e composta da anestesisti, infermieri e personale di sala operatoria, che ha collaborato con le squadre specialistiche arrivate dall’ospedale Brotzu di Cagliari. In particolare, sono intervenuti il Centro trapianti di fegato guidato dal dottor Fausto Zamboni e il team di Urologia e Trapianto del rene diretto dal dottor Andrea Solinas.

«Questo straordinario risultato è prima di tutto il frutto di un gesto d’amore che onora la memoria della donatrice – ha dichiarato Andrea Fabbo, direttore generale della Asl Ogliastra – e dimostra al contempo l’altissimo livello dei nostri professionisti, capaci di gestire processi clinici e organizzativi complessi. Essere parte della rete trapianti è per noi motivo di grande orgoglio».

A sottolineare il valore del coordinamento è anche Francesco Loddo, direttore della struttura complessa di Anestesia e Rianimazione e coordinatore locale trapianti: «Il successo è stato possibile grazie a un articolato lavoro di squadra. Dalla Rianimazione alla sala operatoria, fino al collegamento con la rete trapiantologica regionale e nazionale, ogni fase è stata fondamentale».

Nel percorso sono stati coinvolti il Centro Regionale Trapianti, il Centro Nazionale Trapianti e, per questo intervento, anche la rete del Nord Italian Transplant Program (NITp) di Milano.

A distanza di due settimane dal prelievo, è arrivata la conferma ufficiale: tutti i trapianti sono riusciti. Tre persone oggi possono guardare al futuro con rinnovata speranza, grazie a un gesto che trasforma il dolore in vita.
