In occasione della Giornata internazionale per l’eliminazione della violenza sulle donne, martedì 25 novembre alle ore 19 il Cinema Garibaldi di Tortolì ospita la proiezione speciale di “Il mio nome è Nevenka”, il nuovo film di Icíar Bollaín dedicato alla storia vera di Nevenka Fernández, la prima donna, in Spagna, ad aver denunciato un uomo politico per molestie sessuali.

L’evento è organizzato in collaborazione con l’associazione Voltalacarta: introdurrà la presidente Loredana Rosa e presenterà la giornalista Federica Melis. Il film racconta il coraggio di una giovane consigliera comunale che nel 2000 denunciò il suo capo, aprendo una breccia nel silenzio che aveva protetto per anni gli abusi di potere, anticipando di quasi vent’anni il movimento #MeToo.

Diretto da una delle più importanti registe europee, già vincitrice di sette Premi Goya, il film unisce realismo, introspezione e impegno civile, mettendo in luce le dinamiche psicologiche della manipolazione e la difficoltà di difendere la propria dignità in un sistema ostile.

Interpretato da Mireia Oriol, con Urko Olazabal nel ruolo del sindaco Ismael Álvarez e un cast di grande forza, il film ha vinto il Premio del Pubblico Urban Vision Group a La Nueva Ola – Festival del cinema spagnolo e latinoamericano ed è distribuito in Italia da Exit Media con la collaborazione di Una, Nessuna Centomila e WIFT&M. Presentato al Festival Internazionale di San Sebastian, arriva nelle sale italiane come evento del 25 novembre, giornata simbolo nella lotta contro la violenza di genere.

In un contesto in cui, secondo i dati più recenti, ogni tre giorni una donna viene uccisa e decine di migliaia si rivolgono ai centri antiviolenza spesso prive di autonomia economica, “Il mio nome è Nevenka”diventa un atto di memoria e resistenza, ricordando che ogni testimonianza è un passo avanti verso la libertà.
