A lanciare l’allarme è l’associazione studentesca UniCaralis, che torna a puntare il dito contro una situazione di insicurezza cronica in una delle aree più frequentate dalla comunità universitaria. «Dopo quasi un anno dall’ultima aggressione, registriamo con amarezza un nuovo episodio di violenza. Segno evidente che gli interventi messi in campo finora non sono stati sufficienti», affermano.

Già un anno fa l’associazione aveva chiamato in causa l’amministrazione comunale, chiedendo un impegno concreto per la riqualificazione e lo sviluppo del quartiere. Da allora, spiegano gli studenti, sono stati avviati alcuni progetti, ma il nodo della sicurezza resta irrisolto. «Abbiamo partecipato a ogni tavolo di confronto con il Comune e con gli enti coinvolti, portando contributi attivi e proposte concrete», sottolinea UniCaralis, rivendicando un ruolo propositivo e responsabile.

Via Premuda, per gli studenti, non è solo un luogo di passaggio o un’area residenziale: è un presidio fondamentale, sia per l’elevato numero di universitari che vivono nella zona, sia per il valore strategico che il quartiere riveste nel più ampio processo di riqualificazione di una delle aree socialmente più fragili di Cagliari.

Per questo l’associazione ha inviato una lettera formale al Comune di Cagliari, all’ERSU e all’Università, segnalando l’accaduto e allegando una serie di proposte. La richiesta è chiara e urgente: «Servono risposte concrete, non ideologiche né tampone, che mettano al centro la lotta al disagio sociale ed economico e il benessere di tutte e tutti».

UniCaralis chiede una visione di lungo periodo, capace di rendere Cagliari una città più sicura, sana e accogliente, non solo per gli studenti ma per l’intera comunità. «Ai colleghi e alle colleghe coinvolte va la nostra piena vicinanza – conclude l’associazione – e assicuriamo tutto il nostro impegno affinché episodi come questi non si ripetano».
