During the seasons of the year you can observe the different colors and smell the scents of the mountain, given by the rich biodiversity of flora and botanical endemisms. It is not uncommon while walking along the characteristic paths, between the sheer cliffs and the numerous water sources, to encounter species of the area’s wildlife. Wild boars, deer and birds of prey are frequent sightings.
Wid Ogliastra Excursions offers two types of routes with different lengths of time. You can decide whether to venture into the “Waterfalls” itinerary for a total of 3 and a half hours, or the “Nuraghes” itinerary which lasts approximately 4 and a half hours. Both are full of charm: the first for a more naturalistic cut, while the other winds with several stops on different archaeological sites.
